If you have a startup that develops its product in the micromobility sector, then VEFRESH is the right place for you. The goal is to help start-ups in the field of micromobility develop their product in one of the three pilot territories of the city of Riga.

In cooperation with Riga municipality, private and public sector, startups pilot the latest innovative solutions in the public outdoor space.

 
 
 

Future mobility - Accelerate 2 Move

Accelerate2MOVE is a thematic accelerator powered by EIT Urban Mobility, supporting early-stage startups that apply advanced technologies—AI, blockchain, 5G, IoT, V2X, and Web 3.0—to improve sustainable urban mobility.

Over three years (2023–2025), the programme aims to support 36 startups at TRL 4–7 and recommend at least 12 high-potential teams for investment. The accelerator helps boost the market readiness of urban mobility solutions from the EU and Horizon Europe-associated countries.

These technologies enhance active mobility, support clean energy adoption, enable intermodal transport, and promote smart infrastructure for data exchange and improved public space.

Coordinated by the North-West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency, Accelerate2MOVE is run by five partners from Croatia, Latvia, and Slovenia: Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla, Poslovna inteligencija, Ljubljana University Incubator, VEFRESH, and LMT.

Now in its final year, the 2025 startup cohort is undergoing tailored mentorship and growth support.

City to Sea urban and water innovation accelerator

Participants will work in two thematic areas - mobility and water innovations. Urban mobility emphasizes convenient, affordable and environmentally friendly movement in cities. All the while, the water innovations focus on environmental protection, digital transformation of ports, food supply chains and other thematic areas of the blue economy.
